Terms of service

The service

Rollcast is provided by Sebastian Smith. We work to keep Rollcast available and your club's records safe, including private copies of records and uploaded files taken every night. The backup recovery window is seven days; the privacy notice explains retention and deletion. We improve Rollcast over time and will tell clubs before a change that affects how they work. If we ever stop providing Rollcast, we will give at least three months' notice and help each club take a full copy of its records.

Your club and your account

Only start or manage a club if you are authorised to do so. Keep access to your sign-in email secure. Your club owns its records and is responsible for their accuracy, membership decisions, fishing permissions and collecting subscriptions. Use Rollcast lawfully; do not upload unnecessary sensitive information or material you have no right to share.

Money

Members pay their fishing subscriptions directly to the club. Recording a payment in Rollcast does not move money. Any charge for Rollcast itself will be shown before you agree to pay. There is no automatic charge just for starting a club. Paid service amounts and cancellation information are on Pricing.

Privacy and leaving

The privacy notice explains personal information. Our club data terms form part of the agreement with a club using us to handle its records. Committee members can export member, payment and catch records at any time; contact us for other records or to arrange deletion. A club can stop using Rollcast whenever it chooses.

Using it on the water

Check access rights, closures and safety with your club. Rollcast is a record-keeping tool, not an emergency service or a guarantee that fishing is permitted. In an emergency, use the appropriate emergency service.

Responsibility and questions

To the extent the law permits, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits or business interruption arising from use of Rollcast. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any responsibility or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to mandatory rights that apply to you. We will tell clubs about material changes to these terms before they apply. For support, or to close your club's account, use Help & contact.
